Information on:
Alberni Inlet and Barkley Sound 2008 Tall ships (July 11-12) Each 3 years Port Alberni is host to a fantastic tall ship festival. The Rendezvous offers special trips that combine diving with greeting the ships as they come in and out of the inlet. In 2006 one of the tall ships even pulled in at the lodge for some days and offered our guests an unique visit to the ship.

Diving | Charter and other Services |

Our main activity is to provide dive charters in the Barkley Sound for individuals and groups. We do this from our property at the end of the Alberni Inlet with our custom dive boat the Rendezvous I and the recently added MV Cookiestar. Our services include lodging and meals. Our dives are wreck dives, reef dives, wall dives and/or night dives. We offer custom charter services to individuals, groups, dive shops and clubs. |
For individuals or companies that require a special charter service such as film crews, research etc. we can put together a custom package. Using our 2 boats, the MV Rendezvous I and the MV Cookiestar we can adapt our offer and pricing to meet your needs Please contact us for specific prices and availability.
We also provide services such as the recovery of smaller items such as anchors etc. For research or sampling we can accommodate the gathering of certain objects or samples within the legal limits. Under- water photography and videography are also services that can be provided for. Please contact us for specific prices and availability. |

| Lodging only | Diving courses | |
| In some periods of the year we can provide lodging only. This allows non divers to enjoy the Barkley Sound. Depending on your needs it can include staying in our guest rooms, meals, use of the hot tub etc. Please contact us for specific prices and availability. |
All divers at the Rendezvous
are offered a free complementary Pacific North West fish and
invertebrate ID course. For those who wish to learn other skills we
offer a range of diving courses.

| Kayaking | Hiking | |

The Rendezvous
has 7 kayaks at the disposal of it's guests. Our little fleet consists
of 2 double and 5 single person kayaks. They all have PFDs (Personal
Floatation Devices). Close to the Rendezvous there are some very nice
spots to discover and many of the guests who have stayed here have made some of
the best nature and animal observations kayaking through the maze of
islands.

Although The Rendezvous is fairly remote, it is still on the mainland. This means that there are some opportunities for hiking. For example, there is short hike to the hill overlooking Haggarts cove or some longer hiking in the forest. Remember, these are not well maintained paths and you will want to bring hiking essentials with you. | |
| Fishing | For Kids | |
| The Rendezvous has a strict no taking policy as far as underwater life and objects is concerned. However for the guests that do want to fish we can arrange trips with the local fishing charters. In this manner, it is a very controlled way of taking fish. Rates and availability on request. | If you bring your family along and they don't dive, we have activities that will make them feel at home as well. This program is called "the Barkley Sound Explorers" and encompasses a range of activities from wildlife observing, tide pool exploration, photography and much more. In the evenings we have a selection of videos and films that kids will like. | |
